Assist-Personal Activities
One-on-one support with the personal care tasks that matter most, delivered wherever you are, with dignity, respect, and a focus on your comfort and independence.
What is Assist-Personal Activities?
Assist-Personal Activities is NDIS-funded support to help you with your personal care needs, so you can live with confidence and independence. Unlike support that's tied to a specific household or living arrangement, personal care support follows you, whether you're at home, out in the community, at work, or away on holiday.
This support sits within your Core Supports budget. According to NDIS guidelines, personal care supports typically assist a participant across a number of different goals, rather than being tied to one specific outcome, and can be required in a variety of settings, including your own home, living with family, or during social, educational, or employment activities.
How this differs from Daily Tasks/Shared Living: Assist-Personal Activities focuses on hands-on support with your body and personal care, wherever you are. Daily Tasks/Shared Living, by comparison, focuses on household and living-arrangement support, like cooking, cleaning, and coordinating support in a shared home. Many participants use both, together.
